Junior Hockey

Junior Hockey Information

Surrey HA works to promote and support all junior hockey within the county in accordance with England Hockey's single system and through additional development activities.

Surrey Development Camps for 10- 11 year olds  introduce and prepare players for Junior Development Camps for players up to the age of 16. From these, the JAC County age group squads are selected to compete with the other JAC counties.

Surrey HA not only encourages all clubs and schools to support this system by nominating it's keenest player, but also works to develop it's best players to progress to the highest representative levels.

The County rounds for school and junior club competitions are run with the dual aim of participation for as many players as possible and that our successful teams should progress and succeed at Regional and National level.

Surrey HA will assist and support any new hockey activity, specifically for Years 5-8 through its Hockey Development Officer and Suburban Hockey.
