Surrey sides dominate U12 In2hockey Club National Finals

On yet another cold, wet and windy day, Surrey sides were dominant at the National Finals.  Guildford boys were crowned national champions after beating Bowdon 1-0.  Surbiton boys were third but so nearly made the final!!!!   Surbiton girls dominated their pool, winning every game and without conceeding a goal.  In the final they played Worcester and conceded their first goal in the whole of the tournament (Surrey/South/National) with the final score 1-1.  After the best of 3 penalty flicks the sides remained deadlocked.  Then sudden death penalty flicks - on the second pair of flcks the Surbiton goaliee made an amazing save and Surbiton were crowned national champions.  Congratulations to players, coaches and proud parents!
